Kurutoga Standard Model A Sharpener That Keeps the Lead Rotating. The lead wears down evenly, ensuring continuous rotation for sharp, fine lines. You can keep writing with precise lines, making your notes neat and tidy. The Kuru Toga Engine is a newly developed mechanism in mechanical pencils that rotates the lead tip for even wear. It features three internal gears, with the middle gear linked to the lead. As you write, the middle gear moves up and down using the pressure applied during writing. This movement, combined with engagement with the upper and lower gears, rotates the lead slightly with each stroke, ensuring consistent wear.
